2. She is using the grant to expand the reach of the Southwest Coalition for Colorectal Cancer Screening. The coalition is made up of public, private, nonprofit and for-profit providers.

3. The coalition aims to increase the percentage of El Pasoans who are screened for colorectal cancer. Currently, 54 percent of eligible adults undergo colonoscopies in El Paso.
