ASGE recognizes Berks Center for Digestive Health: 3 points

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy recognized Berks Center for Digestive Health in Wyomissing, Pa., for promoting high-quality endoscopy, according to a Reading Eagle report.

Here are three points:

1. The ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program honors units that have demonstrated a commitment to quality and safety.

2. The center offers a range of procedures, such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, hemorrhoid bandings and fecal incontinence treatments.

3. There are around 30 centers in Pennsylvania that have received the recognition, noted the ASGE director of communications.
