6 GI physicians in the news – Oct. 30, 2015

Here are six gastroenterologists who made headlines within the past week.

The North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition granted Ajay Jain, MD, medical director of the pediatric liver transplant program at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, a $150,000 grant.

The American Academy of Pediatrics joined Robert H. Squires, MD, its 2015 Murray Davidson Award winner at the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition in Washington, D.C.

Pranav Periyalwar, MD, joined University Hospitals Conneaut (Ohio) Medical Center and University Hospitals Geneva (Ohio) Medical Center.

Anne Arundel Gastroenterology Associates in Annapolis, Md., welcomed Mark Flasar, MD, to its team.

Gastroenterologist Bhushan Pandya, MD, is the new president of the Medical Society of Virginia.

Lovelace Medical Group in Albuquerque, N.M., welcomed Julie Farrer, MD.
