What you should know:
1. ASGE recognized Mr. Ichikawa for his efforts to advance endoscopy education and develop new endoscopic technologies during his 38-year career at Olympus America. He worked at Olympus for 43 years, retiring in 2007.
2. This is the first time ASGE awarded an industry-facing recognition.
3. ASGE bestowed the honor at the 2019 Crystal Awards Ceremony held May 19 in San Diego.
“I am so grateful to my colleagues and friends for helping me to passionately develop innovative endoscopic technologies and services for the benefit of patients, physicians, nurses and their related communities,” said Mr. Ichikawa.
