The grant will allow Dr. Jain to study preventative strategies for total parenteral nutrition-associated disorders.
Dr. Jain’s research has found unique molecules and pathways altered during TPN, according to the report. He hopes his research will eventually lead to methods for alleviating serious complications related to TPN used in newborns.
