Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit Leapfrog Group gave Rush University Medical Center in Chicago an “A” rating for patient safety, according to News-Medical.
Rush University Medical has earned the “A” rating since the Leapfrog Group’s patient safety list inception in 2012, making this grade the medical center’s eighth consecutive top-rate score.
The medical center received the score for its commitment to avoiding preventable medical errors, injuries and hospital-acquired infections.
Of the 2,530 hospitals Leapfrog ranked for this list, 133 have received consecutive “A” scores.
