Several health systems and hospitals have recently opened new gastroenterology centers or expanded their service offerings to meet patient demand.
Here are six updates from five healthcare organizations:
1. Nashville, Tenn.-based TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center cut the ribbon on a new endoscopy center earlier this month.
2. Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Health began offering pediatric gastroenterology services at its Folsom (Calif.) Turn Pike Specialty Care Clinic.
3. Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy opened the Kathryn Ann Meinders Digestive Health Institute on the campus of Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. It also launched sedation-free transnasal endoscopy at its Mercy Kids GI program in St. Louis.
4. Columbia, Tenn.-based Maury Regional Medical Group relocated and expanded its Mid-South Gastroenterology practice on the campus of Maury Regional Medical Center.
5. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health added Novant Health Gastroenterology – Coastal Carolina, located in Hardeeville, S.C., to its network.
