Columbia, Tenn.-based Maury Regional Medical Group has relocated and expanded its Mid-South Gastroenterology practice on the campus of Maury Regional Medical Center.

The practice moved to a new suite on the second floor of the outpatient pavilion. While the clinic relocated only one building from its previous office, the new space provides a larger footprint with additional exam room capacity to support growing demand for digestive health services, according to a June 4 news release.

MRMG Mid-South Gastroenterology’s clinical team includes six gastroenterologists: Michael Blanco, MD, Lucas Buchanan, DO, Amit Choksi, MD, Dayaker Mallipeddi, MD, Robert McClure, MD and Srikar Reddy, MD, along with family nurse practitioners Timothy Dickey, Sharon Gibson and Kelly Taylor.

The practice provides care for gastrointestinal conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and celiac disease. Physicians also perform procedures such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies and flexible sigmoidoscopies on the medical center campus.

The expansion is part of Maury Regional Health’s broader campus modernization strategy, which also includes an orthopedic surgical institute, emergency department renovations and infrastructure improvements, according to the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
