Here are four things to know.

1. Pentax Medical is a division of Hoya Group, a global medical technology company based in Tokyo, Japan.

2. Pentax Medical offers gastroscopes, duodenoscopes, small bowel enteroscopes, colonoscopes and a GI Value Solution, a high-resolution digital platform of video endoscopes and a digital color video processor for use in hospital and private practice settings.

3. David Wood became the president and CEO of the company’s Pan-American region in December 2017. Mr. Wood previously served as Pentax Medical’s global chief marketing officer.

4. Pentax Medical’s C.A.P. HD duodenoscope is the first FDA-cleared duodenoscope with a disposable distal cap.
