$25M Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital expansion to include GI endoscopy suite: 3 things to know

Memorial Hermann Cypress (Texas) Hospital's recently approved $25 million expansion will include an endoscopy suite for GI procedures, Chron reports.

Here are three things to know.

1. In addition to the endoscopy suite, the expansion will include 24 licensed beds, including ICU beds, as well as an additional catheterization lab for heart procedures. The hospital will develop empty space already built on the Cypress campus.

2. The hospital is a $168 million facility that currently includes an endoscopy and bronchoscopy suite, 16-bed ICU, a cardiac catheterization lab, a neonatal ICU and a Memorial Hermann Life Flight helicopter pad, among other services and specialties.

3. Since it opened in March 2017, the hospital has added multiple services, including a high-risk pregnancy center, Memorial Hermann Wound Care, robotic surgery and occupational medicine services for regional companies.
