Richmond, Va.-based VCU Health has opened a new clinic to expand cardiology and pulmonology services in the city’s West End, according to an Aug. 28 system news release.
The facility houses specialists from VCU Health Pauley Heart Center and pulmonology and critical care medicine departments, offering diagnostic testing, an on-site lab and a cardiopulmonary rehabilitation gym with a six-minute walking track. Until now, rehab services were only available at VCU Medical Center in downtown Richmond, according to the release.
The clinic will support patients with heart failure, cardiovascular events, lung disease and those preparing for or recovering from heart and lung transplants. It will also offer subspecialties including electrophysiology, heart failure, interventional and preventive cardiology and women’s heart health.
The clinic will begin seeing patients Sept. 2.
