Missouri cardiologist Lenard Politte, MD, died on Feb. 20 at 90, according to a Feb. 23 report from the Columbia Missourian.

The most lucrative cardiology procedures within the Medicare population for hospitals are coronary artery bypass grafts, according to research from Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania's Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics that was published Dec. 3 in the American Heart Journal. 

Illinois cardiologist John Moran, MD, has died at 86, according to a Feb. 20 obituary published in Southwest Regional Publishing Local News.
