Christopher Kramer, MD, has been named president of the American College of Cardiology.
Having assumed the role at the end of March, he now leads the cardiovascular organization, which currently has nearly 60,000 members, according to a March 31 press release.
Dr. Kramer serves as chief of the cardiovascular division at Charlottesville-based University of Virginia School of Medicine.
He specializes in applying cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging to the cardiovascular system.
Dr. Kramer will serve as president for the 2025-26 term, alongside a number of other new appointees, including:
