The American Board of Medical Specialties has denied the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine's request to create an independent board for cardiology.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside has been awarded transcatheter valve certification from the American College of Cardiology, according to a Feb. 27 report from The Recorder.

Shenango Valley Cardiology Consultants has affiliated with Meadville (Pa.) Medical Center, according to a Feb. 24 report from The Business Journal.

Oneida-based Central New York Cardiology reported a data breach impacting patient addresses, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers, diagnosis/condition information, health insurance information, provider names, treatment information and financial account information. 

In 2023, Southeast Houston Cardiology was faced with flattening growth, rising overhead and financial pressure from hospitals and insurers.

San Antonio-based Christus Children's Hospital has earned a $2.74 million grant for a pediatric cardiac surgery center, according to a Feb. 25 report from News4 San Antonio.

Midlothian-based Cardiology of Virginia has filed a data breach notice with the HHS Office for Civil Rights.
