York (Maine) Hospital has raised more than $6.2 million — 97% of the $6.4 million goal for its “Leading with Heart” campaign — following a grant from the New York City-based Hearst Foundations, according to a July 28 report from Foster’s Daily Democrat

The campaign supports the expansion and modernization of the hospital’s Petrovich Peterson Cardiac Catheterization Lab. To complete the final phase, the hospital launched a dollar-for-dollar matching challenge of up to $100,000. Hospital leaders said matching the Hearst grant demonstrates community support and could help secure future funding, according to the report.

The campaign also includes $2.5 million in federal funding secured by state Sens. Susan Collins, and Angus King. The upgraded lab will enhance the hospital’s ability to deliver advanced, noninvasive cardiac care.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
