Cardiac surgeon tapped as physician executive of Lee Health

Daniel O’Hair, MD, has been appointed as the new chief physician executive of the Lee Health Heart Institute in Fort Myers, Fla., South Florida Hospital News reported Aug. 14.

Dr. O’Hair has more than 25 years of experience and specializes in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, transcatheter technologies and developing high-performing heart programs, according to the report.

In his new role, he will support the development of Lee Health’s cardiac and thoracic surgery programs and help expand the health system’s heart institute.
