Teladoc sees substantial growth in 2015 Q2 results: 5 key notes

Teladoc, a telehealth platform, reported its second quarter results, with the period ending June 30, 2015.

Here are five key notes:

1. Teladoc's total revenue increased by 78 percent at $18.3 million in comparison to the same quarter in 2014.

2. Total membership increased by 48 percent, at 11.5 million compared to 7.8 million in the same quarter in 2014.

3. Total visits were 125,322, compared to 61,379 visits in the same quarter in 2014, an increase of 104 percent.

4. Julian Cohen joined Teladoc as president and general manager of behavioral health in August.

5. Teladoc expects the revenue of the company's third quarter 2015 to be between $19 million and $19.5 million.

"The telemedicine market is expanding rapidly and Teladoc's second quarter results demonstrate our leadership position in this dynamic space," said Jason Gorevic, CEO of Teladoc.
