Health Net Federal awarded full URAC HIPAA Privacy reaccreditation: 5 notes

Health Net Federal Services, a subsidiary of Health Net, received full reaccreditation for HIPAA Privacy from URAC.

Here are five notes:

1. The reaccreditation is effective immediately through May 1, 2018.

2. Health Net has held URAC’s HIPAA accreditation since 2008.

3. Health Net Federal Services provides cost-efficient healthcare programs for government agencies.

4. The organization provides healthcare services to about 2.8 million uniformed services beneficiaries.

5. URAC is a nonprofit healthcare accrediting organization focused on promoting quality healthcare through accreditation, education and measurement.

“Quality healthcare is crucial to our nation’s welfare and it is important to have organizations that are willing to measure themselves against national standards and undergo rigorous evaluation by an independent accrediting body,” said Kylanne Green, URAC president and CEO.
