Tennessee’s CON program up for review

Senator Todd Gardenhire (R-Chattanooga) plans to lead a review of Tennessee’s certificate of need program this summer, according to a report by The Tennessean.

Sen. Gardenhire’s proposed legislation, SB 0992, would remove a number of services from CON requirements. He hopes CON reform will improve healthcare spending and competition in the state, according to the report.
