Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center completes construction of 67k-sq-ft ASC — 4 things to know

Woodbridge, Va.-based Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center completed the construction of its new surgery center.

Here are four things to know:

1. Through the surgery center, Sentara is opening a new operation room that will consolidation many of the hospital’s surgical services.

2. The two-story facility will house a sterile prep area, a pre-op and post-op area equipped with 28 beds as well as 10 operating rooms.

3. The facility will be 67,000 square feet.

4. Timmons Group, an engineering firm, worked hand-in-hand with Sentara Hospital to create a plan for the facility.
