Here are four things to know:
1. Twenty-four physicians comprise River Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center, a multispecialty facility.
2. With the addition of River Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center, SCA increased its number of surgical facilities in Connecticut to six locations.
3. River Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center offers otolaryngology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, pain management, podiatry and ophthalmology.
4. As per the agreement, SCA and the ASC’s physician partnerships jointly own River Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center.
“RVASC is significant as it represents SCA’s first partnership in the eastern part of the state,” said Christian Ellison, group president, SCA. “Our expanded footprint in Connecticut will help enable SCA to enter value-based arrangements with health plans that benefit our physician partners and the patients we serve.”
