RegionalCare to Complete Acquisition of Debt-Laden Alabama Hospitals by July

RegionalCare Hospital Partners expects to complete its plans to acquire two debt-laden hospitals in Alabama by June 30, according to a report by the Times Daily.

The Nashville, Tenn., company will invest $400 million in Coffee Health Group, including $150 million to cover Coffee’s debts and $250 million to rebuild Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence. Coffee also operates Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Ala.

Since it started less than a year ago, RegionalCare has bought Ottumwa (Iowa) Regional Health Center and plans to buy Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio.
