Orlando Health’s Acquisition of FL’s Health Central Includes Surgery Center

The acquisition of Health Central, a 171-bed hospital in Ocoee, Fla., by Orlando Health, a multi-hospital system in Florida, includes the Health Central Surgery Center in Ocoee, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.

Orlando Health is spending about $181 million to acquire Health Central. Assets purchased by Orlando Health include the hospital, surgery center, an urgent care center and a skilled nursing facility. The acquisition has been in the works since February 2011.

 

Health Central Surgery Center, which is located on the southeast side of the hospital, provides outpatient procedures in orthopedics, podiatry, urology, general and vascular surgery, and pain management, according to the surgery center’s website.
