NextMed Center of Carlsbad opens with ASC — 4 insights

NextMed Center of Carlsbad (Calif.) opened its medical campus which includes the Carlsbad (Calif.) Surgery Center, Dec. 5.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Surgery center physicians will provide women’s health, regenerative medicine and orthopedic services.

2. The Carlsbad Surgery Center is inside of the NextMed Center of Carlsbad. Carlsbad Surgery Center is affiliated with the Surgery One network.

3. The campus has 30 providers on staff, with four physicians practicing out of the surgery center.

4. The campus is comprised entirely of independent medical providers.

Surgery One CEO Scott Leggett said in a release, “Our vision was to build a medical campus where patients are the priority and the care they receive is the most advanced available, and we have realized that vision.”
