New York hospital opens bariatric surgery center — 3 insights

Suffern, N.Y.-based Good Samaritan Hospital opened its Bariatric Surgery Center to improve access to bariatric care, the Daily Voice reports.

1. The surgery center is 6,000 square feet.

2. The center includes seven en suite rooms that were designed with extra space in mind, to allow for safe movement and transportation.

3. The hospital moved the bariatric surgery coordinator’s office into the surgery center so the coordinator could be more accessible.
