Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Surgical Specialists joined Nashville, Tenn.-based Saint Thomas Medical Partners, effective immediately, the Daily News Journal reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. Nashville-based Saint Thomas Health will absorb the physician group.
2. Murfreesboro Surgical Specialists' surgeons provide general surgery, gastroenterology, thoracic and laparoscopic surgical services.
3. The practice will remain in Murfreesboro.
4. Murfreesboro-based Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital President and CEO Gordon Ferguson said, "Murfreesboro Surgical Specialists is a group of respected and dedicated surgeons who have provided quality and compassionate care to the Rutherford County community and beyond for more than three decades, and we are thrilled to enhance our alignment with this physician group."
