Medical Facilities reports Q3 results — 5 highlights

Medical Facilities reported revenue from operations of $73.1 million, down 1.5 percent, from the same period the year prior, according to Stockhouse.

Here are five highlights:

1. The company’s income from continuing operations fell to $14.7 million in the third quarter compared to $16.6 million for the third quarter of 2014.

2. Medical Facilities reported cash available for distribution of Cdn$9.8 million, down 8.2 percent compared to Cdn$10.7 million in the same period in 2014.

3. Compared to 82.4 percent in the third quarter of 2014, the company reported a payout ratio of 89.8 percent for the third quarter of 2015.

4. The company’s surgical and pain management case counts at its centers grew by 2 percent and 8 percent, respectively, this quarter.

5. Donald Schellpfeffer, MD, CEO of Medical Facilities, said, “As we look forward to the traditionally strong fourth quarter, it is notable that for the nine months ended Sept. 30, 2015, our revenue is already ahead by 1.9 percent and income from operations is up by 5.2 percent over 2014.”
