Kessler Medical Arts Complex wins N.J. approval for 16k-square-foot surgery center: 3 things to know

Hammonton, N.J., based Kessler Medical Arts Complex, acquired by Community Health Associates in late 2011, won state approval for a 16,000-square-foot surgery center. According to PressOfAtlanticCity.com, the developer wants to establish a 60-bed subacute care center in the building as well.

Here are three key notes:

1. The piece of land, formerly William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital, totals 94,000 square-feet, according to the report.

2. Steve Kirby, managing partner with Community Healthcare Associates, said they are awaiting construction approvals by the state, according to the report.

3. The development company plans to recruit behavioral health and sleep centers, as well as outpatient surgery centers and other services.
