Houston Methodist Hospital expanding outpatient center — 3 insights

Houston Methodist Hospital will demolish a portion of the hospital’s outpatient center and build a cleanroom in its place, GlobeSt.com reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The space will include a 1,500-square-foot prefabricated cleanroom space and 3,500 square feet of support space.

2. The support space will include quarantine areas, storages spaces, offices and mechanical rooms.

3. Developers will also upgrade the center’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructure and install a new air-handling unit to support the cleanroom environment.
