Cancer Treatment Centers of America opens outpatient care center — 4 insights

Chicago-based Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Midwestern Regional Medical Center opened an outpatient care center, also in Chicago.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The new center is 9,862 square feet.

2. The center took over the former CyberKnife Cancer Institute of Chicago. The center will offer oncology therapies, chemotherapy infusion services as well as gynecological, surgical and medical oncology consultations.

3. CTCA at Midwestern President and CEO Scott Jones said, “Chicago has many well-recognized and highly respected hospitals. We are proud to be among them. Our center will offer patients advanced cancer treatment options and technologies, while providing the same world-class care and commitment we deliver at our hospital in Zion, Ill. We look forward to strengthening relationships with local physicians while serving new patients seeking clinical excellence in this type of comfortable outpatient setting, in downtown Chicago.”

4. CTCA said it plans on adding more services to the center in the future.
