Here’s what you should know:

1. The hospital started the project two years ago. It’s expected to be complete in the next few weeks.

2. The pavilion will have seven operating rooms. They were constructed to replace the hospital’s old ORs.

3. The hospital designed the new ORs to be 200 square feet larger, to accommodate a larger swath of procedures.

Hospital President Joe Mitrick said the pavilion was designed with patient comfort in mind. He said, “[There’s] a lot of openness, a lot of windows and a lot of artwork as well to provide a healing, calming environment.”
