7 recent ASC acquisitions & partnerships — November 2018

Here are seven ASC acquisitions and partnerships announced in November 2018:

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health plans to buy out 15 surgeons to take full ownership of Williamsville, N.Y.-based Millard Fillmore Surgery Center.

Montecito Medical Real Estate acquired the medical office building of Chardon (Ohio) Surgery Center.

Prop II sold the medical office building housing Las Vegas-based Montessouri Surgery Center to Medical Systems for $1,933,750.

Bloomfield, N.J.-based Community Health Care Associates plans to buy Mannington Township, N.J.-based Memorial Hospital of Salem County from Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems. CHA plans to invest between $30 million and $60 million to renovate the hospital, put the vacant surgery center back into use and make other updates.

A private equity firm bought the Cape Coral (Fla.) Medical Center building for $10,000,000. The building houses Cape Coral Surgery Center, a joint venture with Nashville, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners and physician owners. It also houses three other major tenants.

Owen Moy, MD, is selling his minority ownership in Amherst-based Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York to five other physicians.

Buffalo (N.Y.) Surgery Center is giving three new physician owners 4.34 percent ownership each.
