6 hospitals & health systems opening ASCs — August 11, 2015

Here are six hospitals and health systems opening or expanding ambulatory surgery centers.

Barnabas Health and Robert Wood Johnson Health System have signed a definitive agreement that includes the building of ambulatory care centers.

Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston, Ore., will open a surgery center soon. The surgery center has two surgery suites, with the possibility to add two more.

Northfield Hospital & Clinics in Farmington, Minn., plans to open a new surgery center in August. The $6.3 million surgery center is 9,000 square feet.

Mercy Medical Center plans to build an ambulatory surgery center in Hiawatha, Iowa. Mercy expects to open the surgery center in the spring of 2016.

Canton-Potsdam Hospital in New York is planning a $33 million project to build a medical complex, including an outpatient surgery center.

The former Long Island College Hospital site in New York will soon house a $204 million facility, which will include an outpatient surgery center.
