Here are three highlights:
1. Rochester is home to nearly 69,000 veterans, but only Buffalo, Syracuse and Albany provide ambulatory outpatient surgery services.
2. The new clinic would be nearly double the size of the current one, at around 840,000 square feet.
3. The funding plans for the new center will be included in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs 2017 budget.
