Health system partnerships
February has been a busy month for Compass Surgical Partners.
The company opened a 12,000-square-foot ASC in Springfield, Ohio, in collaboration with Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health. Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours also teamed up with Compass Surgical Partners to build a cardiovascular surgery center in Short Pump, Va., that is expected to be completed by July 2025.
The company also opened a joint ASC with Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health. Baptist Health partnered with Compass Surgical Partners in January to launch a network of ASCs that will be branded as Horizon Surgery Center.
Private equity investment
Alternative asset management firm TPG made a strategic investment in Compass Surgical Partners in January.
Compass Surgical Partners has more than 250 ASCs in 35 states.
