Surgery center doesn't plan to sell property for Pulse shooting memorial — 4 details

The onePULSE Foundation wants to buy nine properties in Orlando, Fla. to build a memorial and museum in memory of the 49 victims of the 2017 Pulse nightclub shooting, WFTV reports.

Here's what you should know:

1. A same-day surgery center that owns an adjacent field doesn't plan to sell its property, representatives told WFTV.

2. The owner of window-tinting business Pro Tint Orlando, which is near the project site, said he hasn't been approached about selling his property and has no plans to do so.

3. One property the foundation intends to purchase is Orlando Fire Station 5. City officials said they've held exploratory discussions with the foundation about acquiring the property.

4. Some business owners told WFTV they're concerned the city may force them to sell using eminent domain.
