Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center has formed a strategic alliance with Surgical Care Affiliates to manage several of its surgery centers.
Self-managed healthcare real estate company Physicians Realty Trust acquired Baylor Surgicare at Mansfield (Texas) for $8.5 million. The surgery center is a joint venture between United Surgical Partners International, 20 physicians and Baylor Scott & White Healthcare System.
Pinnacle III added three new employees to its management team this year including:
• Holly LeRoux as director of operations at Boulder (Colo.) Community Musculoskeletal Surgery Center
• Jebby Matthew as director of operations at The Orthopaedic & Spine Center of Southern Colorado in Colorado Springs
• Linda Deeming as director of operations at Foothills Surgery Center in Boulder, Colo.
Hospital Corporation of America stock traded at $72.07 per share during the week of Oct. 20 to Oct. 24, up 3.79 percent.
Tenet Healthcare stock traded at $58.22 per share during the week of Oct. 20 to Oct. 24, up 2.9 percent.
