James Cote joins BayCare as SVP of ambulatory services: 5 things to know

BayCare welcomed James P. Cote as senior vice president of ambulatory services.

Here are five key notes:

1. Mr. Cote is replacing Denton Crockett Jr., who is retiring next month after a 40-year career at BayCare.

2. Mr. Cote previously spent six years at Virginia Mason Medical Center where he oversaw the strategic direction and operations of the ambulatory clinics, regional medical centers and outpatient services.

3. He was responsible for the retail and employer strategy at Virginia Mason including the urgent care, virtual visits, convenience clinics and employer onsite clinics.

4. Mr. Cote has a Master’s of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration and Marketing from the University of Massachusetts. He is LEAN certified and sponsored or led more than 40 improvement workshops at Virginia Mason.

5. The BayCare ambulatory services division includes the laboratory, imaging and urgent care services as well as BayCare HomeCare, a large provider of at-home patient care.
