4 health companies facing layoffs so far in 2023

Four major health companies have been hit with employee layoffs so far in 2023, according to Forbes’  2023 layoff tracker.

Here are four healthcare-related companies facing layoffs since January: 

1. In January, Teladoc Health cut 6 percent of its jobs, not including clinicians, as part of a restructuring plan. 

2. In January, medical equipment maker Philips announced plans to cut 3,000 jobs this year and 6,000 total by 2025. 

3. In February, Nomad Health, a healthcare staffing management company, laid off 17 percent of its corporate staff. 

4. In February, mental healthcare start-up Cerebral cut 15 percent of its workforce, totaling about 285 employees.
