3 ways ASC administrators can improve employee performance

Employee disciplinary issues are one of surgery center managers' biggest concerns, according to a survey conducted by MedHQ, an ASC human resources management company.

MedHQ shared three steps ASC managers can follow to improve employee morale and performance:

1. Hiring. Bringing on employees that are a good fit for an organization culturally is a fundamental aspect of the hiring process. Asking peer evaluators to be involved with candidate interviews can help find the perfect match.

2. Mentoring. Coaching and mentoring employees can help prepare them to take on leadership positions in the future.

3. Managing risks. ASC administrators should establish HR processes and procedures to prepare for potential issues within an organization.
