Three ways to save time:

1. Scheduling. Scheduling procedures can be a cumbersome process, with multiple calls between physician offices and ASC staff to confirm the case, and then the appointment being scheduled manually. Using automation could be one way to make the scheduling process more efficient.

2. Vendor support. Not relying on digital charts or other technology for staff training is a missed opportunity that could save ASCs time.

3. Patient communication. ASCs waste time by inefficiently communicating with patients. Time can be saved by implementing automated patient appointment reminders, as well as reminders for staff to inquire about patient transportation arrangements.
