Here’s what you should know.

1. The meeting was attended by 13 major insurers including the CEOs of Humana and Cigna.

2. In the letter, Mr. Obama admitted struggles the exchanges have encountered, but stressed that time and experience drive innovation.

He added the government is working on making policy changes to address some of the challenges the ACA has encountered.

Mr. Obama said the Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell is reaching out to the young, uninsured base to encourage them to enroll into plans. The White House is also hosting a Millennial Outreach and Engagement Summit focused on how to reach the younger generation and enroll them into the exchanges.

“We welcome efforts to increase your outreach during this open enrollment period,” Mr. Obama said to the insurers.
