Here are five points:

1. More than 9.6 million people used HealthCare.gov to sign up for coverage.

2. The remaining 3.1 million people enrolled in state marketplaces.

3. Of the consumers who signed up, 28 percent who signed up through HealthCare.gov were between 18 to 34 years old.

4. Approximately 700,000 individuals signed up or were automatically re-enrolled in coverage through the federal marketplace in the last week of open enrollment.

5. Nearly four million people utilized new search tools on HealthCare.gov to find out if certain physicians or prescription drugs were covered, which Sylvia Mathews Burwell, Department of Health and Human Services secretary, said is a “sign of the seriousness and time they put into their decisions.”
