Here are five takeaways:

1. Consumers must enroll by Dec. 15 for coverage to begin, starting Jan. 1.

2. If consumers wait until January to enroll, coverage will not begin until March 1.

3. If an individual lacks coverage for more than 60 days, he or she will face a fine.

4. Due to the shutdown or discontinuance of local plans, many Utah consumers are enrolling in the federal marketplace.

5. Nearly 77 percent of Utah enrollees can find plans for a monthly cost of $75 or less in premiums, after tax credits are applied.
