Here are five points:

1. This effort is in conjunction with the Connecting Kids to Coverage campaign, which includes application help.

2. State programs, schools and local community groups will receive the CMS funding.

3. The funding will especially go toward rural communities.

4. Since the Affordable Care Act implementation, one in 20 children do not have coverage, a significant decrease in the number of uninsured.

5. Once insured by Medicaid, these children will have better access to primary and preventive care.
