CBO: AHCA to cost 24M health coverage by 2026

The Congressional Budget Office, composed of non-partisan analysts, estimate the American Health Care Act will cost 14 million more Americans their insurance in 2018 compared to the ACA, as reported by CNN Politics.

1. By 2026, 24 million would lose coverage under the AHCA, the CBO estimates, as reported by The Boston Globe.

2. The CBO report found the AHCA would cut federal deficits by $337 billion over the next decade.

3. Last week, Republican leaders preemptively criticized CBO projections. House Speaker Paul Ryan commented less people would have coverage under the ACHA because it is not a government mandate, CNN reports.
