CBO: 32M Americans to lose coverage under ACA repeal by 2026

Recent Congressional Budget Office estimates said up to 32 million Americans will lose their coverage by 2026 if officials repeal the ACA.

Here are four things to note:

1. In June, the CBO predicted nearly 17 million Americans would lose coverage under the GOP's Better Care Reconciliation Act, the healthcare replacement bill.

2. The CBO issued updated estimates following the Senate Budget Committee posting its Obamacare Repeal Reconciliation Act of 2017, which seeks to eliminate many core ACA provisions.

3. The CBO predicted at least 17 million U.S. residents will lack coverage in 2018 if a repeal came to fruition.

4. In 2018, CBO estimates say premiums will jump by at least 25 percent.
