Here are four things to know:

1. This discount applies to members in their first year of enrollment in Anthem Blue Cross Medicare Supplement Plan F.

2. The discount is available for members 65 years or older who are within six months of their Part B effective data and have a coverage effective date starting March 1, 2016 or later.

3. Eligible members will save $240 for the year, which is one of the lowest introductory rates for this plan in California.

4. Members may also save if they pay their premiums upfront, have another household member on a supplement plan or if they pay their premiums electronically through bank draft.

“Like all Medicare Supplement plans, it provides predictable costs and the freedom to visit any Medicare-approved doctor or hospital with no referrals or network restrictions,” said Josh Martin, president, Anthem Blue Cross’ Medicare west region. “And with this discount, the plan is even more attractive.”
