Three key points:

1. The network will launch for 55 markets in January 2021 and service around 185 million people.

2. Designed for large national and regional employers, the program will allow large employers in multiple markets to come together under the Blue HPN. Right now, BCBS Association is a federation of 36 independent Blue companies.

3. The program marks BCBS Association’s move into value-based care at a national level and will select providers for the program based on existing relationships and quality measurements.
