Houston Surgery Center receives AAAASF accreditation — 5 key notes

The American Association of Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities awarded the Houston Surgery Center accreditation.

Here are five things to know about the center:

1. The ASC is a Class C ambulatory surgery facility for Paul Vitenas, MD, a cosmetic surgeon.

2. The center opened last fall and Dr. Vitenas relocated his practice there.

3. The ASC includes two operating rooms, three private recovery bays and a 24-hour overnight stay option.

4. The center can perform procedures under intravenous Propofol or general naesthesia with external support of vital organs.

5. Dr. Vitenas performs procedures including CoolSculpting. He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
